How to start a page from a template
There are four ways to start a page from a template:
- From the Templates view
- After starting a new draft
- Within a category from the New button
Our favorite use for templates is to invite new users to start their Tettra journey by creating an About Me page. For more details, check out this article.
From the Templates view
First, navigate to the Templates view in Tettra then click Create page.
A draft will be created with the contents of the template, and you can edit and publish it like any new page.
After starting a new draft
Create a new page and before making any changes to the draft, click the three dots and then Start from template.
Choose the template you'd like, then the contents of the template will populate your draft. You can edit and publish it like any new page.
Within a category from the New button
All templates with a default category will be available to add within that category automatically. To start, click on the category in the sidebar to view it, and then click New. All templates with this category as a default will be available in that list - click the one you want to use.
A draft will be created with the contents of the template, and you can edit and publish it like any new page.
