How to upload, attach, and delete files to a Tettra page
Adding files to your Tettra pages allows you to store them in Tettra and allows other team members to access them from Tettra. You can add files to your pages in one of two ways:
- drag and drop
- insert controls
Tettra supports file uploads up to 50MB. If you need to include a larger file, we suggest uploading it to another source like Dropbox, Google Drive, etc., and then using the insert controls to link it.
Tettra supports almost all file types. If you run into an issue uploading a file type, please reach out to us at [email protected].
Clicking on a file embed will either display the link in the browser or download the file to your local computer, depending on the file type.
Step 1. Drag and drop the file to the page editor.
File contents currently are not searchable; however, file names are. Name the file on your computer before uploading it, and Tettra's search will find pages that contain keywords in the file name.
You can also use the insert controls (+ button) feature to add a file. Just click the add icon to the left of an empty line and select File. This will then allow you to choose from the files on your computer.
Step 2. To delete a file on a page, simply click on the file until it's highlighted, then delete as you would delete text ([delete], [backspace], etc.).
How to change file names
If you want to change the displayed file name, download the file and rename it on your local computer, then delete the old file from your Tettra page and re-upload the new one.
