AI Security

We use a 3rd party API from OpenAI for our AI powered functionality. They don’t use the data we send them for any training and your data is never shared with other customers - it remains private to your team.


Is it on by default?

No. Tettra's AI is off by default and has to be enabled by an admin to start running on your knowledge base.


When does Kai send data to OpenAI?

We do not send all your data to OpenAI when you turn AI features on. Only content relevant to the task being completed is sent when you initiate it such as:

  1. The Tettra pages or content need when you ask Kai a question
  2. The Slack messages being summarized when you save a slack thread or look for existing answers in Slack
  3. The page being tagged or used to generate FAQs


What does Kai have access to?

Kai will only turn up results for you that you have permissions to view. If a category is private only to you, you'll receive answers from it but other team members will not. It will also not turn up Archived content.
