SSO/SCIM is only available on Professional tier plans. Contact us at [email protected] for more information.
We want to be clear what SSO/SCIM doesn't do:
- It's not possible to automatically assign roles (admin, editor, etc) by the groups in your directory.
- Users who are not in your directory, after you implement SCIM, will not be allowed in your Tettra space.
Here's how it does work:
- You will set a default user role (admin, editor, etc), and that's what all new users will have when they're added.
- After SCIM is set up, users are added if they're not already in Tettra but are in the groups in your directory that you choose to sync.
- With SCIM, your user number is always accurate, so you won't have to remember to go in and deactivate users.
- When we activate SCIM, everyone in your directory will be added so your user count may go up.
- You will need to maintain access to WorkOS so that you can log in and manage your connection there.
How to invite new users with SCIM
When SCIM is activated on your account, you'll add new Tettra users from your Identity Provider (for example, Okta, Azure, Google, etc.) and manage those users through WorkOS.
Before you can add users, our team will first set up your account, then send you instructions to set up via WorkOS. Then, you'll need to enable SCIM at your Identity Provider and in WorkOS.
After SCIM is set up, users will sync automatically. Your directory will match your user list in Tettra.
